If you’re wondering if it’s too late to plant summer veggies and herbs… it’s not! While our selection is tapering off, we do still have all the usual suspects– tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash, melons, basil and more. Add to that selection all the veggies that are started easily from seed and you’ve got even more to plant. Corn, melons, beans and squash are easy to plant in place from seed, and they love the warmer temps June brings. In fact, you can continue planting corn seeds every two weeks until the 4th of July to extend your harvest. We live in trying times… but at least there’s fresh corn.
And let’s not forget fruits. We still have fruit trees in stock, and we continue bringing in fruiting shrubs, small trees and vines. Though selection is ever shifting on a daily basis, recent offerings include figs, passionfruit vines, hops, pomegranate, dwarf mulberry, strawberries and grapes.
Short on space? Look for dwarf varieties! We’ve carried dwarf tomatoes, dwarf watermelon, dwarf mulberry, and dwarf stone fruit trees. Some are still available, such as ‘Little Ruby’ fig and dwarf ‘Green Grinch’ tomato. Perfect for containers!
