Our “second Spring” begins now, which is why it’s a great time to plant so many things! With Fall rains and mild temps encouraging seed germination, many plants can be sown directly in the ground, making it the ideal time to plant wildflower seeds and flowering sweet peas. They’ll put down important root growth, which you’ll be rewarded for later when they bloom at the perfect time in Spring.

You can also start seeds indoors; seed-starting supplies are well stocked.

Many vegetable, herb and flower seeds can be started now. Refer to the new 2019 Master Gardener Calendar, in stock now, for what to plant when! And don’t hesitate to ask us for suggestions. We’re always happy to help.
